Yemen Aid

Yemen Aid is an organization that provides humanitarian assistance and resources to Yemeni people, regardless of race, political affiliation, ancestry or religion while utilizing 100% of your donation towards food relief. We believe it’s the best organization to donate to because

UNICEF

How will donations help children in Yemen? They’ll provide life-saving food, treatment for malnutrition, COVID-19 responses, vaccines to prevent disease outbreak, vital service.

Impact of the money? $63 provides survival food kit for 69 children, $108 for 210 packets of Plumy’Nut, providing a week’s supply for 70 children, $131 stocks a malnutrition treatment centre, provides food for 164 children.

World Food Program

WFP provides over 12 million people with monthly food assistance through direct food distributions or vouchers that people can use at retailers in areas where the markets are functioning. Each family of six gets a monthly ration of wheat flour, pulses, vegetable oil, sugar and salt.

WFP provides daily nutritious snacks – either date bars or high energy biscuits – to 680,000 school children. The programme focuses on areas that have been hard hit by conflict, leading to low levels of school attendance and poor food security.

WFP is currently providing food assistance to 8,500 refugees from the Horn of Africa in Kharaz camp in Lahj governorate.

UNHCR

UNHCR is on the ground providing humanitarian relief and protection across Yemen to hundreds of thousands of displaced people. They are delivering cash and emergency supplies, providing families with shelter and keeping them safe from harm.

  • US$ 60 could provide safe water to five families to keep them healthy for a whole week
  • US$ 220 could provide a newly displaced family core relief items including matrasses, blankets, a solar lamp, sleeping mats, and a kitchen set which help to alleviate the initial hardship of displacement
  • US$ 500 could help a displaced family of seven to secure a roof over their heads through UNHCR provided rental subsidies for six months
